The internet went crazy years ago when an upcoming series from the Lord of the Rings was announced, and fans of the series exaggerated expectations due to rumors that the original heroes of the film series might be involved in the work. Time passed and many official and other statements emerged about the series, until we reached the moment of realism and real implementation. Followers were surprised to see that most expectations were contrary and news came out of a work of art derived from the same world, based on a story that is not one of the author's stories.
Despite this, loyal followers waited for the series of power rings with passion and attachment to everything that belongs to the world of Middle-earth and the Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately, they were disappointed after the premiere of the series. High hopes turned into great disappointment. Critics weren't far from that either.

In the following lines we try to explore what really happened.
Since the original series was released at the beginning of the millennium, and its success, there has been a strong passion for the world of The Lord of the Rings, which was originally one of the most successful English literary novels. The original series was followed by a production of The Hobbit, which was originally the origin of the story, and was also a great success. Accordingly, followers and fans of the series expected perfect work from the series, especially with more time space, and huge production promises.
The origin of all the artistic disappointments is the high expectations, which is what happened with the series, as expectations exceeded everything that is even logical, and many years of waiting also contributed to this.
The news, analysis, and perceptions before the series' release contributed to an irrational uproar. We even saw many fans of the series dedicate space to themselves on social media, and broadcast illogical news about the artwork.
All this hype has created false hopes about work. If we want to classify the work, we can say that it is acceptable to its creators. But followers and lovers wanted more than that, and often even irrational!
Unfortunately, the series did not have an original story from the wonderful author Toliken, and there were many opportunities for that, but the makers seem to have ignored that feature just to release a work of art that they consider unique.
The story of the series is based on specific events and not a storytelling or dramatic line from the Middle Earth world. These events have woven around her the story of the series.
Slow events were the main reason for exposing the weakness of the story, as well as weaving many characters that do not exist in the Lord of the Rings universe. Many viewers felt that the pace of events was too slow, especially in the first half of the season.
As well as the lack of beloved characters, as the series lacks, according to some, attractive characters that arouse the sympathy of viewers and make them care about their fate.
The most prominent point to critics is the weakness of the dialogues and their lack of depth and suspense.
It turned out that the series faced criticism from fans of "The Lord of the Rings" novels for moving away from some important details in Tolkien's original story and introducing new characters and events that were not mentioned in the novels.
That comparison was not entirely valid because the business is fundamentally different. But the makers of the series deliberately over-produced as:
Excessive reliance on visual effects has been made, and some believe that the series relied exaggerated on visual effects at the expense of developing the story and characters.
Unjustifiably high production costs, the series faced criticism for dramatically high budget without providing a production quality comparable to this rise. No one really understands why the makers of the work did this and stressed it in every forum in which they appeared or made statements.
The disaster of not respecting Tolkien's legacy, Tolkien's fans argue that the series falls short of its original novels and does not accurately reflect its spirit.
The characters were also unconvincing from the new and incomplete characters, and their motives were unclear, making it difficult to empathize with them or pay attention to their path.
Although the makers of the work try to give the advantage of multiple narrative lines such as films, their abundance at the same time may cause confusion for the viewer and make it difficult to follow the events.
