The amazing skyscraper is located in the center of Riyadh on a plot of land purchased by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal in 1990. Built on a land area of 94,230 square meters with a total area of 300.000 square meters, the center is in the middle of the skyscraper at the intersection of the three most important main roads in Riyadh, in an easily accessible location. The skyscraper also contains the King Abdullah II Mosque, located on the 77th floor, which is the second highest mosque in the world. Designed by American designer Scott Perry, the Great Skyscraper was the tallest tower in Saudi Arabia until the clock towers were built in Mecca.
