Most people spend their younger years partaking in activities that can cause long-term damage, such as long sleepless nights, dabbling with substances, eating processed foods, or over-exertion during physical activities. However, we often don’t realize the damage is being done because our bodies are astonishingly resilient when we’re young. Therefore, you’ll increase your chances of slowing down aging the earlier you start a healthy lifestyle.

Eating consciously is much more than just eating healthy.
• Time-restricted eating practice – intermittent fasting
• Do not eat 4 hours before bedtime
• Eat until you are 80% full. It's less work for your digestive system.
Recommend
• Eat slowly.
All residents of the blue zones share a very natural diet:
• Eat the animals they raise, without hormone injections and accelerated growth.
• Eat plants from their gardens without pesticides
• Fishing from the sea, river or ocean and not from farms
I would also like to add these rules:
• Eat olive or avocado oil, without seed oils
• Eat anything that comes as it is in nature or with minimal human processing. Avoid anything that goes through more than two processes, or involves industrial processes
The body needs a lot of micronutrients in addition to the macronutrients you eat. Plus a lot of vitamins and minerals.
Here are some of what I use and recommend:
• Creatine (the most researched and verified supplement)
• Omega-3 oil
• Resveratrol (great for cancer and cell regeneration)
• NMNs (read in!)
• Tongkat
• Medicinal mushrooms (cordyceps, reishi, moringa, shiitake, lion's mane)
• Essential amino acids
I'm not going to talk about aerobic exercise to lose fat and build muscle. This time, I'm talking about what good training is to maintain your abilities as you get older.
•Walk
• A sport that uses as many muscles as possible: tennis, swimming, basketball, football, padel, squash, etc.
• Yoga and Pilates
• Stretching exercises regularly
• Practice natural movements using weights: squats, pulling ropes, pushing skis, push-ups, pulling, and many more.
This is a common practice among high achievers and residents of the blue zone Mindfulness is not just about meditation, it's about living in the present, controlling what affects you from the outside, and keeping the inside calm. If you want a more scientific approach, doing so will reduce cortisol and oxidative stress. In this regard, let me tell you that many of us have cancer genes in our bodies. They may be dormant, but significant oxidative stress, unhealthy environment, and traumatic events may trigger their growth.
Our brains need constant stimulation. If we use our brains as much as possible, we won't see them fade away. therefore
• Keep learning new skills
• Read every day
• Learn foreign languages
• Solve puzzles
• Engage in conversation
• Be open-minded
This has been observed in blue zones around the world. People who live a lot not only focus on their families but also participate in society. They help neighbors, volunteer and form part of organizations. They share their skills, are friendly, and lend a helping hand when needed. In this way, we form the bonds that give us a sense of belonging, a basic human need.
Not having a goal, dreams, aspirations, and just living is likely to work for a while, before slipping into a mental health crisis at some point.
We tend to cater to urgent matters while pushing our personal needs to the back of the list, arguing that they are not urgent. The best thing you can do for yourself is to pursue hobbies. Something that you find great fun in, and you can practice it once in a while. But even if it's just a loss of money and time, it contributes to great mental health, so don't consider it a loss.
I've seen some great tips this year, which focus on doing some very difficult and rewarding things every year, which will make you feel productive if you look at them again. For example, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is so big that if you do it in one week, even if you don't do anything noticeable in the rest of the year, it's still a great year.
So the recipe for a wonderful Happy New Year is as follows:
• Do something key to celebrate the year
• Every 3 months you have an adventure. Camping, fishing, sailing, tournaments games, new sports, vacation, trip, anything that sounds like an adventure to you.
Enjoy a quiet day every week when you're doing nothing productive, no pressure, no pressure, no phone, no emails, just completely disconnected.
In conclusion, it is impossible to stop aging, but it is very possible to slow it down. However, aging does not mean loss of abilities. Neglecting ourselves and our bodies so pay attention to your body, listen to it and your needs, take care of yourself, and be smart early so that you don't pay for it later.
